Q. Who is involved with Run to Vote?
A. Two teachers and nine students from Granville Central High School in Stem, North Carolina, parents of the students, the community of Granville County and many more.

Q. Where does the money for expenses come from?
A. From generous sponsors and donors like you. So, if you know anyone who might be interested in donating, please share our website with them.

Q. How do I donate to this cause?
A. See the donation link on our website, or email us at runtovote@gmail.com for information about donations.

Q. Why go through all 48 states?
A. Because it is the best way to get our voices heard and this is a national election so we wanted to include as much of the country as we can
Q. Why are you not going to Alaska and Hawaii?
A. Great question. The biggest reason is money. It would be very expensive to fly to both. However, if you know someone who would be willing to help with the cost to get us there, we would certainly be open to the idea.

Q. But hasn't this been done before?
A. Actually, no! This is a completely new idea that we came up with ourselves.

Q. Why register to vote?
A. Because statistics show that the rate of voters is declining, and the definition of Democracy is a "government by the people in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system." In other words, the people decide how their country is run by voting for their leaders. If only a select group of people vote, then it is not a Democracy.

Q. When are you leaving?
A. We are planning to leave on Saturday June 14th, 2008.

Q. How long will it take you?
A. We are estimating two months, give or take a week.

Q. How many people are you trying to register throughout the trip?
A. That’s a good question. We are not sure what the response to the trip will be so we are not sure how many people will come out to meet us. However, a general estimate is 15,000 which is 250 people per day.

Q. Will everyone involved in Run to Vote be running?
A. No. Mr. Williams will be doing a lot of the running. He will also have some of the students help him out, but no one will be forced to run.

Q. Can I run with you?
A. Sure. Contact us and we can set it up.

Q. Where will you stay/sleep at night?
A. We have the RV and we will also bring camping equipment. However, if you are interested in housing us for a night, please contact us.

Q. What if I am already registered to vote?
A. Great question. We still want you to come out and sign our sheet pledging that you will vote.

Q. Does Run to Vote back any particular candidate?
A. No we do not. This is a nonpartisan voting drive and our purpose is to sign up all political parties.

Q. Last question…this is a big task, are you sure you are up for it?
A. Bring it on!!!!!!!!
